Student Support
Ensuring all Angels can meet their goals.
The East Angel Foundation (EAF) is committed to the success of each and every student at East High School. To meet that goal, EAF supports several programs to ensure students can meet their goals and realize success in their education and in other areas of their lives.
Student Assistance Fund (SAF)
The Student Assistance Fund (SAF) is a program funded and administered by EAF, a non-profit organization supporting educational excellence at East High School. It is administered by volunteers. We can help with:
- class and participation fees
- books
- classroom and learning materials
- leadership opportunities
- AP test fees… and MORE!
To contact SAF, please email eaststudentassist@gmail.com or visit east.dpsk12.org/students/student-assistance for more information.
Angel Packs
Angel Packs is a food initiative started in the Spring of 2010 after learning that some of our East students do not have access to nutritious meals after the school doors close for the weekend. Students can pick up free nonperishable nutritious meals and fresh fruit for their families each week through the program. Bags are available every day in the nurse’s office and every Friday after school in the Commons and by the front door of the school. We typically give away 50-60 bags of food per month. Parents can also visit the East Pantry in the Commons once a month. The Pantry offers a wide variety of non-perishable food, fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and meat as well as toiletry items.
The Angel Pack Program is partners with the Food Bank of the Rockies and We Don’t Waste and is supported by funds from a variety of community organizations as well as EAF. Students and parents can also volunteer in a variety of ways for this program.
For information on how to participate in this program, please email eastangelpacks@gmail.com or follow @eastangelpacks on Instagram.
