Faculty and Staff Grants
Grants fund innovative projects and promote inclusive education.
The East Angel Foundation provides annual grants to faculty and staff to fund innovative projects, enhance classroom learning, and support diversity, equity, and inclusion at East High School.
The East Angel Foundation supports the East High School community each fall through faculty and staff grants. Teachers, counselors, and staff are encouraged to submit grant requests to fund new projects and programs that enhance classroom instruction and curriculum, address educational barriers, and support diversity, equity, and inclusion at East High School. The Foundation’s Faculty and Staff Grants Committee reviews applications and distributes approximately $50,000 each October to support programs, events, and supplies for the school year.
Past grant awards have included funding for:
- Lab materials for new forensic science classes
- Equipment to build robots in engineering
- Tickets to the Denver Film Festival and the Denver March Powwow
- New library books supporting the LGBTQ+ community at East
- Camcorders and cameras for broadcast journalism classes
- Guest artists for dance, theater, and choir classes
- Food for the Special Education Team’s life skills cooking classes
- Sheet music for instrumental music classes
- First-generation graduation cords for seniors
- Calculators and table whiteboards for math classes
- A life-size Chinese dragon for performances by the APSA
- Buses for field trips for 9th graders and AVID students to CU
The East Angel Foundation expresses heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated faculty and staff. Your continuous efforts to apply for grants, strive for excellence, and find new ways to enhance the educational experience at East High School are truly commendable.
