Foundation Programs
Supporting students, educators, scholarships, facilities, and heritage.
The East Angel Foundation (EAF) supports East High School through programs that enhance student success, empower educators, provide scholarships, preserve historic facilities, and celebrate the school’s rich heritage.
EAF supports East High School through impactful programs that enrich student experiences and preserve the school’s legacy. Student Support Programs like the Student Assistance Fund (SAF) and Angel Packs ensure students have the resources they need to succeed academically and personally. SAF helps cover fees, materials, and leadership opportunities, while Angel Packs provides nutritious meals for students and their families, addressing food insecurity.
EAF funds Faculty and Staff Grants to support innovative teaching and learning. These grants have enabled projects such as purchasing equipment for STEM classes, enhancing library collections, and supporting cultural and artistic programs. Each fall, the Foundation distributes approximately $50,000 to East High School educators for initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Through its robust Student Scholarship Program, EAF awards financial aid to graduating seniors, emphasizing fairness, equity, and alignment with East High School’s values. Since 1926, the Foundation has distributed over $1 million in scholarships, helping hundreds of students achieve their educational dreams.
The Buildings and Grounds Program works to preserve and improve East High School’s facilities and iconic spaces, such as the Tower and auditorium, ensuring they remain functional and inspiring for future generations. Recent initiatives include the restoration of the school’s historic clock, enhanced landscaping, and upgrades to the auditorium’s sound system.
EAF also celebrates and protects East High School’s rich heritage through its History and Historic Preservation Program, which includes the Tower Museum, Alumni Heritage Hall, and efforts to document and safeguard the school’s architectural and cultural legacy.
